Local Priorities Nuisance Vehicle use Message

I wanted to provide you with an update regarding Nuisance Vehicle use, which people around your area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey.

Officers have powers to deal with vehicles being used in an anti-social manner, including issuing warnings under Section 59 of the Police Reform Act. This is an official notice that is issued when a vehicle is used antisocially, warning that continued misuse may result in seizure of the vehicle.
This activity forms part of an ongoing commitment to keep roads safe and respond to concerns raised by local residents.
We have high visibility patrols on in hotspot areas. Anyone engaging in anti-social vehicle behaviour should be clear that action will be taken.
PC Conway said: “We know the impact that anti-social vehicle use has on our communities. This activity sends a clear message – if you choose to misuse vehicles and cause disruption, you can expect officers to take action. We will continue to patrol proactively and respond to reports from the public.”
Residents are encouraged to continue reporting concerns through online reporting tools, by calling 101, or 999 in an emergency.
